The Stock Masterfile contains details of stock (inventory) and possibly other items which can be purchased for the purpose of resale.
Stock items can be in many categories such as 'Stock' or 'Non-Stock' which is further explained throughout the help system. Stock can be grouped and categories in many ways, and reported on using the different criteria.
Stock items can be serialised, have multiple alternate part numbers, and be set up with various levels of stock control including min-max levels, maintain levels, and other ordering options.

NOTE on colour coding:
Serialised Stock Items are highlighted in the lookup screen in Red
Negative Stock on hand Items are highlighted in the lookup screen in Green
Positive Stock on hand Items are highlighted in the lookup screen in Blue
